This large factice or dummy perfume bottle is by Ungaro. The large flat dome shaped bottle is made of glass that is ridged on the front and back . The front has a "V" shaped gold edged red central label with "DIVA" in white capital letters across the top of the label. The neck of the bottle has a gilt coloured metal collar with a printed plaited design running around the centre. The fan shaped glass stopper is ridged front and back to mimic the bottle. The base has an oval label marked "Eau du parfum Ungaro Factice Dummy Contient du Phenol" The liquid (not perfume) is yellow coloured. This is a wonderful decorative object.

Diva perfume
Diva was the first perfume produced by Ungaro the French fashion house. Ungaro was established in 1965 and Diva was introduced in 1983.
Factices
A factice is a display bottle that is provided by the perfume house to the store for advertising/display purposes. They were not meant to be sold by the store. The bottles are (usually larger) replicas of the normal perfume bottles. The contents In the early days might be perfume, but gradually the manufacturers replaced this with coloured water or a type of coloured antifreeze.
